Class Content Policy
We at ConfettiHeads pride ourselves on being a place where both Instructors and Participants can come and feel entertained, listened to, comfortable, and safe. We are a place that includes peoples of all nationalities, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and gender identities, where no one should ever feel marginalized or shamed for the aforementioned. All classes should be secular, age-appropriate and fair. And obviously FUN! We are an online community center for EVERYONE.
No Instructor will use ConfettiHeads classrooms as a platform to share political or religious beliefs. If a class touches on religious or political practices, they must be presented in an objective and secular way. There are no good guys and bad guys, just people of the world with different points of view.
All class content should be fact based and shared without bias.
All classes must be age-appropriate. If for any reason content that may be sensitive is an essential part of the curriculum, there must be a written content warning on the class profile page. Such sensitive topics or content may include, but are not limited to, violence, sex, harsh lauguage, or any images of a graphic nature.
Instructors must make sure they are using only their own content within the class unless otherwise permitted to do so. Copyright laws must be followed when sharing anything such as videos, pictures, books, written work or art. Class and course content must be the Instructor’s own and not copied or taken from someone or somewhere else.
Classes must be as engaging and interactive as possible and not prerecorded. This is not a video hosting platform, rather a place for Instructors and Participants to interact with each other in the moment.
Most of all, class should be fun, and not a snoozefest for Participants. If you have to talk about snoozy topics, at least wear a funny hat!
Any classes that address topics that are science-based or would benefit from first-hand perspectives (such as mental health, experiences of marginalized groups, medicine) must be led by someone who is educated, trained in that field or is a part of that group.
All classes with a potential fitness component or those that may present a safety hazard must state so very clearly on the class page.
Any persons affiliated with ConfettiHeads; Instructors, Participants, Admin, or anyone working with or for, shall be removed from the ConfettiHeads community if the above mentioned policies are not upheld.
If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat about any of the above, please shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
